Worry is cast away when worship is taking place.
Offering ourselves as ‘a living sacrifice’ is a worship experience. Financial offering is part of worship – not the entirety. Sometimes we give financially and consider our service to God complete. Other times we give reluctantly and so that others can see that we are giving. But when we understand the reason for giving, we don’t worry about the giving, neither do we try to please or impress others by the way we give (financially or otherwise). When we offer ourselves up to God in service, giving comes from a grateful heart. We give willingly and out of the abundance of the blessings bestowed on us. Offering ourselves up for service, finds us in The Potters house, being shaped and processed by the Potter, to become what we were destined for. During the process of moulding and re-making of us, we are being fed with the fruit of The Spirit. Once the purging is complete and we become what God has been preparing us for, we are made vessels of honour and each moment of everyday is a worship experience.
Rejoicing in the newness of life that has been given to us, now takes place because now we know who we are in Christ. Coming out of the Potter’s House, we are clothed with love; exercising the discipline of one walking in line with Christ. Now we are ready to help others go through the process that takes place in the Potter’s House. The pain of our past failures disappears; making way for a heart filled with praise for God. We now thank Him for taking us through the process, and allowing us to now use our experience for good – to help others get to that place of newness. We rejoice with others who have come through the process. And we encourage others to stay on the Potter’s Wheel, so the process of refining can be complete.
Sharing is apart of worship; sharing our gifts so others can be blessed and get to know God better. Sharing God’s love with others is worship. Having been through the process we cannot help but be excited and tell others of the love of God – the good News. The Gospel is good news, too good to keep to ourselves. Once we have experienced the love of God – the unconditional love of our wonderful, heavenly Father, then we just have to share Him with everyone.
Happiness (the harvest) is now our nature; we beam with life. There is a magnet within – CHRIST, pulling others to us so we can witness. We become a sweet smelling spice for those drenched in the stench of sin. We become the salt of the earth to those we come in contact with. Being happy, we are filled with laughter, leaving no room to accommodate the negative energies that once caused us to live with a depressive state of mind. Gone are the tears, fears, sorrow and the shame. It is morning, and our joy has come. Having endured the weeping through the night, now you are reaping the harvest.
Inspiration comes as the Holy Spirit directs our path. We no longer walk in our own will, because God is now at the steering wheel. The desires of our hearts are no longer the things of this world but of God: a desire to help others walk in line with God; a desire to share with others; a desire to rejoice with others; a desire to do all that is good, right and pleasing to God. At this stage in our walk, God blesses the desires of our hearts and we begin to see His promises.
Praising God is worship. If we don’t praise Him, ‘the rocks will cry out!’ Surrounding ourselves with worshippers will ignite the praise in us. So having gone through the process, we cannot sit comfortably at home or in the church pews, we need to remain active in “service”. Going to church alone will not provide all the food we need to remain healthy. Regular check-ups are required in The Potter’s house so that early detection of any illness can be caught and remedy applied. Get together for fellowship:
Worship in spirit and in truth.
