Welcome to 2008 and the New Season of Blessings instore for us.
God has granted us another year in which to lift up His name above all names; giving Him honour and glory -- spreading the Gospel. I encourage you to do your best this year for God. Use your gifts to honour Him and He will draw men unto Himself. And as we continue to praise Him, He will release the blessings into our lives. Let's keep Christ alive in our hearts throughout the year and not wait until December to remember Him. We should follow His instructions daily and let others see Christ reflected in our life. He created us for His pleasure and we should worship Him always.
This year on Janice Writes, I would like to focus on marriage and youth so if you have a topic you would like to discuss or see me write about, just send me a message or post it on the discussion board. Too many marriages are ending in divorce or struggling to keep up pace while our youth are turning to violence as the solution for everything. I strongly believe that the two are linked and this year I would like to share with you my thoughts and hear your views. The youth are often marginalised or segregated in some form, and their views aren't being heard. Then they grow up to be adults, still with the frustration of their youth and so travel through adulthood without preparation. And we see a generation of children trapped in the body of adults and the cycle continues of broken homes.
So if you are as passionate as I am about the youth, marriage and parenting, lets work together in 2008 and start the fire. It only takes a spark to get the fire going. This message here is the fire starter. Let us shine for Christ in this very neglected area of ministry.
I am also inviting you to visit a new area of the site which is currently being developed to highlight different activities taking place at my local church 'COGIC Community House' of 1a Bristol Road, Luton. I'll keep you updated on this, via the updates page.
