My Thoughts Today
21st May 2010
Hi There!
I just wanted to share two very important points that came to me this week:
Point 1: Marriage is not the climax of dating; it is the beginning of a life-long relationship. Many marriages are prematurely ending because so many fail to grasp this concept. That process of treating each other while dating may decrease, especially when you start a family, but it should never cease. Treating your spouse regularly makes them feel special, wanted and loved. [I shared this in point four of the series of articles "The 7 Points Plan To Enhancing Your Marriage", currently running in the Big Eye Newspaper and will upload the series for your viewing at a later date] So guys get busy treating your wives and ladies don't wait for them to treat you to return the favour. Make it a regular habit, it helps to maintain your marriage. Everyone needs to feel loved.
Point 2: Because of the stigma attached to depression we allow our loved ones to suffer prolonged periods of illness. Sometimes, we also allow ourselves to suffer in silence. My question today, after watching so many suffer in silence, is: What makes us hide away and what can we do to break the silence and get the help we need?
My intention is to look at this in depth and then share my findings with you. Feel free to share your thoughts with me by email, via the guestbook or via the contact page. Looking forward to your response.
